The National Trust’s Attingham Park, one Shropshire’s finest country estate, has been the setting for astutely accumulated fortunes, overspending and financial ruin, a story of love and neglect, and revival and rediscovery. Bequeathed to the National Trust in 1947 by Thomas, 8th Lord Berwick, Attingham was owned by five generations of the Hill family and built to impress, the fine Georgian mansion sits in a 4,000 acre estate comprising of rivers, woodland, parkland, walled garden, orchard, deer park and pleasure grounds.
Attingham is open daily from 8am (excluding Christmas Day) and entrance is free for National Trust members and under 5s. Non-member pricing £15 per adult, £7.50 children, £37.50 family ticket. Before visiting please check the website for opening arrangements for parts of the estate (e.g Mansion)
From Saturday 27 November to Monday 3 January all visitors are asked to book their visit in advance.
