Where you can find us
Shropshire offers some of England’s most serene rural beauty. From rolling hills and rocky outcrops to canals, meres, and mosses it’s varied scenery is a treasure trove waiting to be explored.
Beginning and ending at the Buzzard Sculpture in Shrewsbury, the Shropshire Way figure of eight route passes through Clun, Ludlow, Ironbridge in the South of the County, to Ellesmere and Whitchurch in the North.
Passing over the rugged Stiperstones and the Wrekin provides a tour of some of the most varied geology in the UK.
They say in Shropshire you can conquer 32 castles and 25 hill forts. The Shropshire Way meanders past many of these ancient castles, historic abbeys, and hilltop forts. With medieval towns and villages along the way, it’s the perfect backdrop for a long-distance walk.
